Hi, friends!
…If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you must know about our #russianadventures! 🙂 Because yes, this summer’s been mighty adventurous when me and my two boys went to Moscow, Russia, for three whole weeks! We went to so many places and… I took so many photos – they just won’t fit in one post! So this will be the first in the series of posts with the photos from our super-exciting adventures in Moscow! 🙂Today I’m sharing the photos from one of the most beautiful and fun places in Moscow: the Izmaylovo Kremlin! Sadly, this Kremlin isn’t as widely known as the Red-Brick Kremlin! (I’m blaming the politicians for that, and for messing with our minds and putting us, all nice people, against each other!) 🙂
But seriously, the Izmaylovo Kremlin is just so, SO beautiful! There’re no words to describe it – it’s best to let the pictures say it all!
…Isn’t it colorful? 🙂
Also, it isn’t just the beautiful walls and buildings! In each of these buildings you can find studio where the kids can learn hands-on all kinds of traditional Russian arts and crafts!
We did a few of them, but today I’m sharing these pics of my boys making the traditional Russian Pryaniki (little cookies similar in flavor and texture to that of the soft gingerbreads)! Also by “making” I mean that they actually began with mixing the dough and rolling it, and ended with decorating them and then… Well… the most exciting part: eating them! 🙂
…Oh, and by the way, the Pryaniki dough is actually pretty healthy! …Of course I got the recipe that I’ll be sharing with you shortly! 🙂 🙂
To match the beautiful Kremlin scenery I wore this peasant-style dress with embroidery from the Free People (the brand I absolutely adore as you can see here and here!).
I also matched it with these “Russian-Red” lace-up sandals 🙂 that I’ve been wearing all throughout the summer because they are just so pretty and comfortable!
So… how is your summer going so far? I so hope that it’s full of fun, laughter, and maybe… a little bit of an adventure! 🙂
