…After having been asked by a few of my friends from both the “real” and the “digital” worlds 🙂 all the same question: what do you use every day on your skin? …I decided to finally put them all together in this one single post!
And here they are: my favorites that I’ve been using for at least five years now. (And most likely will keep on buying again and again just because they really work!)
Note: I did find a few new skincare “favorites” that I’ve shared with you recently. But these are my oldies and my forever goodies that stood my personal test of time! And I can’t wait for you to “meet” them all in one place!) 🙂
Avene Cold Creme
Avene Cold Creme. You probably saw me writing about my the Avene Cold Creme many times before… But what can I say? I really trust this $20 guy because it’s been taking such good care of my skin! …I have been giving some other creams a try (out of simple curiosity and to just see what’s out there). But… I just kept on coming back to my Avene!
Why? Not only it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin like many other products do. It keeps my skin super-moist and nourished! Recently I’ve been using it as both a daily moisturizer and a night cream. (It’s very thick and perfect for Fall. In the Summers I switch to a lighter formula for the day such as this Rich Regenerating Creme by Avene.) …And what can I say? When I use my Cold Creme – I just like what I see in the mirror! 🙂
Avene Sunscreen SPF 50
Avene Sunscreen SPF 50. Another product from my favorite Avene. What I love about this sunscreen is that it is NOT oil-free. Which means that it does not leave my skin dry as a stucco wall! Instead its luxuriously thick formula keeps it nourished and elastic!
Dr. Hauschka Eye Balm
Dr. Hauschka Eye Balm. I haven’t discovered this brand until about 5 years ago. But once I tried applying this balm it a few times in Whole Foods (where it was then sold), I just loved the silky film that it left under my eyes where my skin is especially thin and prone to wrinkling! This film keeps this skin elastic and it also keeps all the moisture underneath, thus preserving my skin’s dewiness!
Lancome Facial Cleanser and Eye Makeup Remover and the Konjac Sponge
Lancome Cleanser and Eye Makeup Remover I usually choose Lancome for their luxurious makeup (especially for their mascara. I heard that the mascaras are their primarily makeup specialty, and it is high quality indeed!). Somehow my skin had been feeling and looking its best with my favorite Avene unlike any other brand. But when it comes to Cleansers and Makeup Remover – these two from Lancome’s are the best! (They actually just released a newer formula of this same cleanser and it’s even better than the old one!) What I love most about them (aside from the beautiful rosy scent) is that they are oily, and so they leave my skin nourished instead of dry when I use them each night to cleanse my face! (I only use the Eye Makeup Remover if I do have makeup on to remove).
As for this $12 Konjac Sponge – I believe that no other product can compete with it when it comes to peeling and deep cleansing! Not only it’s cheap and all-natural. It’s also super-gently on my skin! It never irritates or hurts it, yet it does its deep-cleaning job really well! Just don’t forget to thoroughly wet it before using it along with your favorite cleanser!
Bobby Brown Balm Foundation SPF 50
Bobby Brown Balm Foundation SPF 50. If Lancome’s specialty are their mascaras, Bobby Brown is surely best when it comes to their foundations! As far as I know it’s the only brand that actually matches their foundations to skin types! (I.e. not only they have full-coverage, BB’s and light foundations. They also developed foundation formulas for dry, normal and oily skin-types!) Since my skin is on a drier side I can’t get enough of this balm that never leaves my skin dehydrated! So what are your skincare favorites? Had you been using any particular products for a long time and love it? I’d love to hear all about it!
Have a great day, my friend! And remember – you ARE beautiful! 🙂
The majority of the products I use are Image – I’ve used them for a couple of years now and really like them, though as I (ahem….) age I’m thinking now I need a little more moisture.
Oh, thank you so much, Debra for sharing! I haven’t heard about this brand – but I will check it out! 🙂
