And the best news is that even if I’m short in time – the Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse only takes a few minutes to make!…But it certainly carries a somewhat magical ability to satisfy both my appetite, nutritional needs and joy-seeking soul!
THE EASIEST HEALTHY CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER MOUSSE!

No, no, and no! I’ve “discovered” this recipe accidentally, when I was messing with some leftover ingredients in my pantry! And I thought… why can’t I mix them with my favorite greek yogurt to make a quick dessert?
Et viola! The easiest & fastest ever dessert recipe was born!So, lately I’ll admit – it’s become one of my go-to desserts, snacks and breakfasts!
Because even though I love my Meringue-based mousses and sweets, they take some time and effort to make! Well, not like you need two hours to fix any of them (for instance this Vanilla Breakfast Mousse won’t take more than 10 minutes or less to whip).
…But still – it’s an effort! So when I only have 5 minutes to mix something up, I whip up my Healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse!
…Oh, and aside form the mood-boosting benefits that a luscious chocolate treat always has, this mousse is…
- low-calorie
- fat-free
- low-sugar
- high in protein
- all-natural
- and… very impressive if you serve it to friends and don’t tell them of what it’s made out of!

The Healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse is ridiculously easy to make, yet it's nutritious, low-calorie, all-natural and impressively yummy!
- 1 cup fat-free greek yogurt
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp fructose sugar* or 3 tbsp regular sugar
- 2 tbsp powdered peanut butter such as PB2
- 1 tsp vanilla extract optional
Put all the ingredients in a bowl and whip them together.
Pipe into a pretty serving bowl and enjoy!
*Fructose sugar is 2/3 as sweet as regular sugar that's why you can use less!
*I'm used to my treats being lower in sugar, so I use only 3 tbsp of fructose sugar (or 1/4 cup of regular sugar) for the cup of yogurt. The proportions in the recipe make the mousse semi-sweet. When you're making yours - I'd recommend starting with the lowest amount of sugar possible and adjust the sweetness according to your taste!

Hi Elizabeth! Thank you for asking! 🙂 I think that you can definitely use real PB, which will make the mousse creamier, but will add more calories. There are 157 calories in one portion, but the powdered PB is only 25 calories in one tablespoon. With the real PB which has about 95 calories in one tbsp your overall calorie count will just be 70 calories more (227 calories)!
