LOW-CALORIE SUPER-EASY HEALTHY MOUSSE
Can you believe that this Low-Calorie Super-Easy Healthy Mousse only takes 2 minutes to make, has only 3 ingredients in it, and is under 50 calories in one serving? Can you also believe that this mousse is high in protein without any added powders or processed ingredients, high in vitamins and so good for you that you can eat it as a breakfast, snack, dessert or… even if you’re hungry at a VERY late night hour?
Well – believe it or not, but it’s all true! And I L-O-V-E this Healthy Mousse so-SO very much! Not only because of all these things!I love it so very much because it’s also so indulgently YUMMY! Mmmm!
It tastes kind of like digging into a ginormous white cloud of goodness! The white cloud that you can keep on digging into without thinking of whether you can have another spoonful (and then feel bad about all the calories!) Because – yes – this fat-free, low-sugar mousse is totally guiltless!
Do you want to know how it’s done? Well, here’re the secret ingredients:
THE LOW-CALORIE SUPER-EASY HEALTHY MOUSSE SECRETS:
SECRET-1:
My favorite healthy secret ingredient is the egg white powder!
Well… do you remember how I was telling you about my love for all things meringue in this Healthy Marshmallows or this Healthy Banana Mousse recipe posts?
Yes: the meringue, or the egg whites that meringue is made from make such perfect desserts! Low-calorie and high-protein!
But… The real egg whites aren’t always pasteurized which can be a problem since you’re eating them raw. To keep things safe it’s best to find the pasteurized egg whites! Or the powdered egg whites such as what I used in this recipe!
But here’s another thing about using the powdered egg whites instead of the real egg whites. The powdered egg whites are DEHYDRATED! And thus – you don’t have to whip separately from the apple puree that I used in this recipe! And you don’t also have to worry about the texture being too watery! 🙂
SECRET-2:
The apple puree! Or the apple sauce, if you don’t want to bake your own apples and then peel and puree them! Full of flavor, naturally sweet and wonderful for whipping!
Finally, if you do want to add some sugar or a sweetener – you can get away with adding just a tiny bit or start with a little amount, taste the mousse for sweetness and add more if you feel like it!So… what do you think? Let’s get to whipping? 🙂
The Low-Calorie Easy Healthy Mousse is so quick to make, it's all-natural, high in protein and low in sugar! It's yummy, cloudy and guilt-free!
