Hi, friends! So, like I promised in the last post where I shared my best tips on how to Look Great When You’re Tired – here’s that Healthy Low Calorie Chocolate Cookies Recipe!
Oh, and I so hope that these cookies will make you smile and will uplift your spirits! Because they’re only 56 calories, all-natural, healthy and only take 10 minutes to make (ok, and the 15 extra to bake)! So, what do you say about that? 🙂
I say… yes! Hmmm… especially for those days that go kind of blah… and you NEED a mood boost! 🙂
Well… although it’s usually rare for someone to have days and days of not feeling well (it’d probably mean that you’re just sick and need to rest no matter what), everyone certainly has the TIMES in a day when they are low energy or… well – just not in their best moods!
For instance for me that “blah time” begins at around 4-5 pm! At that time the day is ALMOST done, but hey – it’s not yet time to go to bed for good, right? So although I kind of KNOW that I need to stay up and be productive, my energy levels aren’t as high at this point as they were, say – in the morning! Another thing about this time is that unlike in the morning I don’t usually drink any coffee after lunch! I won’t go to sleep on-time if I do!
The Low-Calorie Chocolate Cookies!
But cookies like these, a cup of warm tea and a few minutes to myself (browsing online for the recipes 🙂 ) is usually enough to lift my spirits up and bring back the energy to do things that have to be done!
And how about you? What is your low-time during the day? And how do you lift up your spirits?
A recipe for the Low-Calorie Chocolate Cookies that only take 10 minutes to make, all-natural, healthy and are only 56 calories each!
- 1/2 cup white whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup fat-free farmers' cheese you can use ricotta cheese instead!
- 2 egg whites
- 1/3 cup fructose sugar use 1/2 if you have a sweet tooth!
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
Soften the butter by leaving it sit out of the fridge for 10 minutes or in the microwave.
Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
Put all the other ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth, or if you don't have a blender just mix everything until incorporated.
Mix together the wet and the dry mixtures. Put the dough in the fridge for 15-30 minutes (or overnight) to chill.
Take 1 tbsp of dough out and roll it into a cookie. Do the same with the rest of the dough.
Bake the cookies at 375 F for 15 minutes.
Let the cookies chill on the baking sheet before storing them and... enjoy!
Oh my goodness! These look like little pillows of delicious goodness!! Thank you for another decadent but guilt-free recipe!!!
Oh you are so welcome! And yes, they are kind of pillowy and taste like cake! 🙂
