H&M Mini Dress (under $10!) // GAP Blazer // Kitten-Hill Slides // Ted Baker “Kitty” Purse
Hi, friends! So… who feels like going to a coffee shop is kind of therapeutic?
…I do! 🙂 Especially if you get to have your coffee in a nice company!
But here’s a trick question: who do you usually go out with? 🙂 Well, here’s who my date is: Errr… My DATES, to be precise, are the two young men (ages 9 and 11)! 🙂 My two beautiful sons! And I love-love-love our little coffee-date ritual (although once they’re done with their treats (usually it’s a frozen yogurt) – they don’t usually want to stay seated with me any longer… 🙂 )
But as you may know if you’ve been following me on Instagram this summer we got to travel all the way to Russia! And on that trip not only did we get to see some truly amazing places, I was also able to get plenty of help from my wonderful parents! But not only that! I got to go out to a few lovely coffeeshops without the two young gentlemen mentioned above! Instead I was able to catch a few “Big-Girl” coffee-dates with… my lovely Mom (who also took all my photos!) (While my dad was watching the boys 🙂 )
We also got to “aimlessly” stroll around the streets of Moscow, looking for a perfect coffee-spot and sightseeing on our way. We had such a GREAT TIME! We stopped at a fair where I got some sweet inspiration browsing through the kiosks with the Russian traditional desserts (the recipes are on their way!). And then we finally settled in a pretty coffee shop called “Shokoladnitza” (or the “Chocolate Cafe”)…
The Silver Dress…
So, about this dress… You know how sometimes you put something on and it instantly transforms the way you look and feel? This dress did exactly that for me as I took off my tee-n-shorts and put it on. I felt… all dressed up! 🙂 And here’s another thing about it: can you possibly believe that it’s under $10?!!!!! 🙂
I paired this pretty dress with this classic blazer (to protect me from the cool breeze and to “casualize” the outfit), a pair of kitten hill slides (they are so comfy, yet so girly and feminine!) and my favorite Ted Baker “Kitty” purse!
Oh, and let me tell you a small secret: It’s perfectly OK to dress up and go out to a lovely coffeeshop all by yourself! 🙂 …Because YOU deserve it! Right? 🙂
I love how you keep reminding us that good life is deserved! Silly that we need a reminder, but so necessary – thank you! Love the dress you wear it beautifully and the glimpses around Russia, so beautiful! p.s. the roof of that little coffeeshop with the flowers growing on top? AMAZING!
Oh, thank you, dear Debra! And yes, I know how we all need that reminder! Because there were times when I didn’t think about treating myself at all. I was a young mom and all my time was spent taking care of the babies. It lead to me being severely depressed and almost dysfunctional. Now I know that I must treat myself – for my loved ones’ sake! And I’m hoping to inspire the others to do that too! 🙂 And yes, we had an amazing time in Russia! This coffee shop was really, really pretty! 🙂
