Hi, friends! We’re all different and sometimes what looks great on one person looks awful on someone else. For instance the beautiful copper that looks great on tanned girls make me look as pale as a vampire! Not too flattering actually!
Nonetheless there are colors that look great on everyone! One of them is black. (Just think of the famous LBD! There is a reason for it to be famous!). But what if you crave something lighter? White is another great option. But… you can literally see every little stain or a piece of dust on it! Uhhh! Yet, there’s another universally flattering clothing color. This color is beige!
But here are a few things I’ve discovered when it comes to wearing beige in the most flattering way:
The Ultimate Guide To Wearing Beige 🙂
- I’ve found that not all beige is created equal. For instance there are few people that look really good in the “dusty-beige” shade. This type of beige has a bit of grey in it. This muddiness can make most of us look pale and unattractive! The best and most universally shade of beige is the clean and natural shade. It may also have some golden hues in it that are especially noticeable in such fabrics as silk and velvet because they have that “sparkling” component to them. So pretty!
- Another thing to consider is what you pair your beige with. The best bet (as you could hopefully see from these photos) is to go all monochrome. Not only it’s the easiest way to ensure looking stylish no matter what you wear. This “less is more” color code makes the beige really do its best job! The only color that I wouldn’t pair beige with is probably grey (this combo can make anyone look so pale!). My favorite colors to pair with beige are black, red and the currently trending lilac!
- Although beige is so universally flattering that you can pull almost any style in this color, a few styles benefit from being beige the most. In my opinion the uber-feminine style-chic and the polished-classic styles are the ones that benefit from being in this shade the most! The casual, romantic and eclectic styles on the other hand, look better when they’re a bit more colorful.
So, did I convince you to get a few beige items for your closet? Hey, I actually convinced myself: most of my wardrobe consists of classic blacks and whites with a few occasional brights and pinks. Perhaps when you shop the beiges don’t grab as much attention as the other colors do?
Well, definitely should start training my eye toward spotting more of the beige items when I shop! Because it truly makes me look (and feel) so polished and pretty! It’s almost like I’m all ready to visit the White House in an outfit like this! Hmmm… honestly, I am not that much into politics. So I’d rather visit my local coffee shop instead! 🙂Skirt // Sweater// Shoes
